Plasma is the forth state of matter,
which is composed of same quantities of positive and negative
ions, so it remains neutral as a whole. Because of unstability
of plasma state, chemical reaction occurs very frequently and
actively.
Plasma is divided into high temperature and non-thermal plasma.
ΆΔ High Temp. Plasma
High temp. plasma is thousands of degree celsius such as Sun,
nuclear fusion, plasma torch, etc. and generally this is applied
to cutting, melting and burning.
ΆΔ Non-thermal Plasma
Non-thermal plasma can be achieved by applying high voltage
in room temperature and also by a high density magnetic field.
It has been used widely from semi-conductor production to
air pollution control. Moreover, non-thermal plasma technology
is the great reliable method for clean environment of the
future.
